FIFA WWC: Nigeria's likely opponent in the R16, starting time and stadium

The Super Falcons against Ireland The Super Falcons against Ireland

The Super Falcons will likely face England in the second round of the FIFA Womens World Cup currently ongoing in Australia and New Zealand.

This follows a barren draw with Group B wiping dogs, Republic of Ireland in Brisbane on Monday, July 31.

Randy Waldrum’s side entered into the game on top of Group B with four points from their first two games against Canada and Australia and needed a point against the already-eliminated Republic of Ireland to seal progression to the knockout rounds.

While there is excitement about qualifications, the Super Falcons might face a tough tie against England who have won both games in Group D.

The Three Lioness face China at the Hindmarsh Stadium, Adelaide on August 1.

Should England defeat China they will top the group and face the Super Falcons on August 7 at Lang Park, Brisbane at 5.30 pm
