The quarter-final fixtures of the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup have been confirmed.

This follows the conclusion of the Round of stage matches played on Thursday and the early hours of Friday morning.

DAILY POST reports that Morocco defeated South Korea 2-1 in the last-16 stage to progress to the quarter-final.

Morocco are now the only African country to reach this stage of the competition.

Nigeria and South Africa were earlier eliminated from the Round of 16 after losing their matches.

The Flying Eagles were thrashed 4-0 against Argentina, while South Africa lost 3-1 against Colombia.

The quarter-final fixtures will take place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
