FIFA U-17 WWC: Nigeria beat Chile 2-1 to qualify for quarterfinals

Nigeria's U-17 women's team, Flamingos have beaten their Group B counterparts, Chile by 2-1 in their final group game at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in India.

Nigeria went into the half-time break with a one-goal lead courtesy of Blessing Emmanuel's 4th-minute header.

Coach Bankole's side added a second with 10 minutes to the end of the proceedings before Chile pulled one back in added time.

The Flamingos have qualified for the quarterfinals of the competition after recording two wins out of 3 games.

Nigeria placed second in Group B behind Germany who beat New Zealand 3-1 in the other group game.
