Everything he touches turns goal - Aluko says of Osimhen

Former Chelsea player and football commentator Eniola Aluko is awestruck by Victor Osimhen's explosive form this season.

The Napoli Starman was on target again as Napoli won 2-0 away at Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 matches.

The 24-year-old gave the Serie A leaders the lead in the 40th minute after tapping home an inch-perfect cross from Hirving Lozano from the right flank.

Prior to firing his side into the lead, the Nigerian international had won a penalty for Luciano Spalletti's side which was squandered by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after Kevin Trapp pulled off a decent save.

Moments after finding the back of the net, Osimhen added a second in a similar fashion to the first but was adjudged to be in an offside position.

Reacting to Osimhen's opener, the Lagos-born Eniola who represented England at the international level was full of praise and admiration for the in-form striker.

“You see straight away as soon as they win the ball back, they are direct. You see Osimhen really attacks the box, gets into the box ahead of the defenders, she said on BT Sports as quoted by the PUNCH.

“Hirving Lozano great ball, inch-perfect ball and a good striker’s finish. Osimhen is on fire.

“Everything he touches is going in, 20th goal of the season. Brilliant goalscoring record so far this season.”

The Super Eagles striker has netted 20 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for Napoli this season.
