Ex-Super Eagles international and legend Austin Jay-Jay Okocha believes Everton are enjoying the best of his nephew Alex Iwobi.

Okocha, who is highly regarded as one of the best dribblers Africa has ever seen was in attendance at Goodison Park when the Toffees lost by 2-1 to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, October 9.

The 26-year-old put Frank Lampard's side ahead early in the 5th minute with a superb strike from behind the United penalty box before United overturned the score courtesy of goals from Anthony and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Super Eagles midfielder has been the best player at Everton since Lampard took over the rein at the club in January following the sacking of Rafael Benitez.

His Uncle, Okocha, believes the Merseyside Blue side is enjoying the best of the ex-Arsenal man while expressing his excitement with Iwobi's transformation as a player.

“I think Everton are enjoying the best of Alex now and we’re all delighted that he’s playing well,” Okocha told Everton Live.

“It’s great to see him playing to his potential, we all knew that he’s got something special, but it’s taken him a little while to settle down and I also think playing under a great manager, who really wants to improve his game and has been playing him in his right position has made a big difference.”

Iwobi has so far made four goal contributions for the Toffees (1 goal and 3 assists) in nine PL outings this season.
