Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze was on target as Villarreal played a 2-2 draw with Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old ended his nine-game dry spell as the Yellow Submarines shared the spoils with the Israeli side at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Chukwueze equalized for the La Liga giants in minute 57 after the away side had taken lead from the spot in the 48th minute.
The Nigerian international fired a first-time shot after receiving the ball at the edge of the box to register his first goal in nine games.
Arnaut Danjuma will later give Villarreal the lead in the 70th minute before the away side pecked them back nine minutes later to draw the game level.
Chukwueze will hope to maintain his impressive form when Villarreal travel to San Mames to take on Bilbao on Sunday, October 30 in La Liga.
