Europa League: AC Milan legend urges Stefan Pioli to start Chukwueze against Roma

AC Milan legend, Filippo Galli wants manager Stefan Pioli to start Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze against Roma in the second leg of their quarterfinal Europa League clash.

The Rooseneri lost 1-0 at home to their Serie A rivals in the first leg and will have it all to do at the Stadio Olimpico in the second leg as they look to overturn the deficit.

Chukwueze, who endured a difficult start to the season has been impressive in recent matches for Milan.

Galli believes starting the Super Eagles winger alongside Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao will be crucial in their bid to overturn the tie.

“Chukwueze starting with Roma could be an idea but this doesn’t mean giving up either Leao or Pulisic and perhaps evaluating whether to move Loftus back to midfield: therefore Pulisic as an attacking midfielder,” Galli told the Pianetamilan.

“Then obviously Pioli is there every day and knows the dynamics, he will be able to make the right choices .”
