Etoo’s old advice to Eden Hazard resurfaces after Mikel’s comments

Eden Hazard was one of the best players in the world during his seven years at Chelsea but has become a shadow of his former self since his dream move to Real Madrid in 2019.

He has barely stayed fit in Madrid. He has had multiple injuries and concerns over his physicality as he returns to training chubby after every layoff, which questions his lifestyle and commitment to his career.

The Belgian left a lasting legacy in London as he carried the team for most of his time there. Most of his former teammates recognised his immense talents and named him one of the best players in the world.

Mikel names Hazard laziest player

Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel in a recent interview reported by Sports Brief, named Hazard as the laziest player he met throughout his career.

''He never trains, the laziest footballer I have ever seen in my life. Then he will produce on the weekend and he is Man of the Match. He will come with his trophy and be like you see?,'' he said.

Etoo's comment on Hazard

Legendary African striker Samuel Eto'o who was also a former teammate of Hazard at Chelsea advised the Belgian back in 2014 that if he did not train, he would soon be forgotten.

“Ronaldinho was the best player in the world. But at a certain moment, if you don’t train every day, you will pay for it. You can be Messi, if you don’t train Mr Eden Hazard after two years, we will forget you. Football moves fast,” he told beIN, as quoted by GFFN.
