Erling Haaland and Kyles Walker were involved in a mild confrontation with Arsenal staff minutes after their loss at the Emirates Stadium on October 8.

Manchester City went 1-0 down to throw an early twist in the title race. It was the first time since 2015 that the Gunners beat the Citizens in a Premier League game.

Gabriel Martinelli, a half-time substitute, scored in the 86th minute, benefiting from a heavy deflection from Nathan Ake to hand Mikel Arteta's charges the precious victory.

Both sides missed key players, with Bukayo Saka sitting out after picking up an injury during their midweek Champions League clash. City, meanwhile, did not have Rodri, who was serving the last of his three-game ban for the red card he picked against Nottingham Forest a fortnight ago.

Seconds after the final whistle, Haaland was spotted exchanging words with Arsenal staff as the Manchester City squad walked down the tunnel, as reported by the Mirror. His captain, Walker, joined in, but the situation seemingly quickly simmered down as they disappeared down the tunnel.

Guardiola declined to comment on what went on during that altercation in his post-match remarks.

It was Manchester City's second defeat in a row in the Premier League - the first time since December 2018. Haaland's goal drought in all competitions extended to three games.
