The English Premier League is planning to resume fixtures by May with the hope of concluding the season by June 12.

If things go as planned, the fixtures will be played behind closed doors which will be determined by the 20 clubs in the league.

The resumption will also have to be approved by the government and health authorities.

Part of the decision to resume fixtures hinges on the need to avert legal charges especially from broadcasters who have a £3billion-a-year deal.

Fixtures are currently suspended till April 30th due to coronavirus outbreak in the UK.

Liverpool currently tops the EPL table with 25 points ahead of second placed Manchester City.
