Former Super Eagles player, Mutiu Adepoju believes caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen is the right man to lead the team heading into the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Eguavoen has been in charge of the team since September and has guided the team to the AFCON scheduled for next year.
He led the three times to three victories, two draws and one defeat leading to the tournament.
With his future yet undecided, Adepoju has backed Eguavoen for the top job.
“I would rate him very well. Number one, we’ve qualified for the AFCON, which is one of the objectives,” he told Brila FM.
“I would say he has done well and is still doing well.
“They should keep encouraging him. I believe he’s getting things done, I will rate him high, let just keep supporting him.”
