Victor Osimhen has been ranked among the top 10 strikers in the world by ESPN, underscoring the Super Eagles striker's consistency for both club and country in recent years.
Statistically, the Nigerian international is undoubtedly the most prolific striker in the Turkish Super Lig, judging from his staggering numbers for Galatasaray in the last two seasons.
Prior to his move to Turkey, he won the Capocannoniere Award with 26 goals in the 2022/23 season, guiding Napoli to its first Scudetto title in 33 years.
On the international stage, the 27-year-old has netted 35 goals in 51 caps for Nigeria and remains in touching distance of equaling Rashidi Yekini's all-time record of 37 goals.
Osimhen's rich vein of form in recent years has attracted several interests from top clubs in Europe, and this season has been no different, as reports have linked him with the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, among other top European giants.
According to ESPN's latest ranking, Osimhen is currently the ninth-best striker in the world.
The Galatasaray striker is ranked ahead of the likes of Liverpool's Hugo Ekitike, despite plying his trade in the Turkish league.
Bayern Munich's Harry Kane, Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe and Manchester City's Erling Haaland made the top three.
