EPL: Pochettino to make three key signings at Chelsea after he takes over from Lampard

Mauricio Pochettino is considering signing three new players when he takes over the reins at Stamford Bridge as the new Chelsea boss.

Daily Mail reports that the former Spurs and PSG boss could be unveiled this week.

However, with Frank Lampard still in charge on an interim basis, the Argentine coach will have to wait till the end of the season to resume work.

Despite splashing over almost £600m on new signings under Todd Boehly, Pochettino still wants to bring in some new signings ahead of next season.

According to reports, Pochettino is asking for a new goalkeeper, a central midfielder and a striker in his first season.

It is understood that the Argentine gaffer prefers players with Premier League experience.

Chelsea will have to offload a chunk of their current squad to make room for new recruits and also ease the pressure on their wage bill.
