Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has set the record straight on who is the club's first choice penalty taker following the roar against Everton on Monday night.

The Blues displayed a remarkable performance with a 6-0 demolition against Everton at Stamford Bridge.

Cole Palmer scored four times with Anthony Jackson and Alfie Gilchrist getting the two remaining goals on the night.

The England international opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a silky finish before adding the second from a header five minutes later.

Palmer completed his perfect hat-trick with his weaker foot after capitalizing on Jordan Pickford's error.

His fourth came from the spot in the 64th minute.

Despite the incredible display by Mauricio Pochettino's side, the beauty of the game was marred by a moment of ugliness after Noni Madueke, Nicholas Jackson and Cole Palmer were seen fighting over a spot kick in the second half.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Pochettino named Cole Palmer as the designated penalty taker for the team.

“Palmer is the penalty taker. It won’t happen again, can’t behave like kids again. It’s a shame. I told the players this is the last time I will accept this type of behaviour. This is not a joke," the former Spurs boss said as per Fabrizio Romano.

“Again, very clear. Cole Palmer is the penalty taker," he added.
