It was a disappointing night for the Blues as they watched their team get torn to shreds by a ruthless Arsenal side on Tuesday, April 23.

The London derby was obviously not a contest as the rampant Mikel Arteta's side walloped their rivals 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

To make things worse, former Chelsea star Kai Havertz scored a brace against his former side and didn't hesitate to celebrate having crossed carpets to the other side of London last summer.

Gunners' defender Ben White also grabbed a brace with Leandro Trossard adding another to complete the demolition exercise over Chelsea.

The crushing defeat has left a bitter taste in the mouth of Chelsea fans including John Mikel Obi who featured for the Blues for 11 years.

Chris McHardy who is Mikel Obi’s podcast co-anchor didn't miss the opportunity to aim a dig at his co-host.

In a social media post, McHardy shared Mikel Obi's throwback picture of the time he snubbed Manchester United to sign for Chelsea back in 2006 with the caption:

“And yes, you picked the wrong bloody club!” he wrote on his Instagram story.

Mikel, who chose the Blues over Manchester United recently admitted that he would have won more titles at Old Trafford.

He has however stated in previous interviews that he never regrets the decision to join the Blues in 2006.
