EPL: Iwobi bags record assist after Fulham's win over West Ham

Alex Iwobi has equaled Nwankwo Kanu's record for the most assist in the Premier League by a Nigerian player following Fulham's 2-0 win away at West Ham on Sunday, April 14.

Brazilian international Andreas Periera grabbed both goals as the Cottagers stunned the Hammers at the London Stadium.

Iwobi was on hand with an assist after he teed up Periera for Fulham's second goal in the 72nd minute.

It was the 27-year-old's 29th assist in the Premier League, the same number Nwankwo Kanu managed during his time at Arsenal.

The 29 assists cut across Iwobi's time at Arsenal, Everton and Fulham.

The Super Eagles midfielder joined Fulham last summer from Premier League rivals Everton.

Iwobi has managed 25 appearances for the Cottagers this season with five goals to his credit.
