EPL: 'It's not over until is over' - Atiku backs Arsenal to bounce back after Villa loss

Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has backed Arsenal to challenge for the Premier League title despite their defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday, April 14.

The Gunners hope of ending their nearly two decades wait for the Premier League title hit another snag after Villa beat Mikel Arteta's side 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The defeat means Arsenal have relinquish the Premier League top spot to current title holders Manchester City following their 5-1 thrashing of Luton Town last Saturday.

With six matches remaining, Arsenal risk losing the title to Manchester City for a second consecutive season if Pep Guardiola's side win all their remaining matches.

Atiku, who is a staunch Arsenal fan has backed the Gunners to challenge for the title despite their recent setback.

“Not the result we expected from Arsenal. But we move; it’s not over until it is over,” Atiku wrote on X.

The Gunners will take on Wolves, Chelsea, Tottenham, Bournemouth, Manchester United and Everton in their remaining fixtures.
