Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has confirmed he has no new injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Sunderland.

The Gunners are looking to open a nine-point gap at the top of the table with a win.

“No news,” Arteta replied when asked about injuries in his squad.
“We remain the same. There’s nobody new that can join the squad, so all the same.”

However, Arteta stopped short of confirming that all of Kai Havertz, Martin Ødegaard, Viktor Gyökeres, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli remain out.

“I cannot confirm all of that, but you are not far,” the Spaniard said.

When asked if he expects all of the injured players to be available after the international break, Arteta said: “Some of them. All of them, I don’t know. There are a lot of things that have to happen in the next two weeks and everything has to be perfect. But I think we’ll be very close with most of them to being in a really strong position.”
