Nigerian international striker, Odion Ighalo, will not be joining Manchester United on their camping trip to Spain as a result of the deadly coronavirus that broke out in China.

Ighalo, 30, joined the English club as a deadline January transfer signing on a 6-month loan deal from Chinese side, Shanghai Shenhua.

The strike is, however, not infected with the virus but will miss the training camp because of fears the coronavirus outbreak could lead to him being refused entry back into the UK. [BBC]

The good news for United fans is the return of midfielders Scott McTominay and defender Axel Tuanzebe, who have both been out with long-term injuries, will travel to Spain.

There is still no word on the possible return of Paul Pogba who has also been sidelined due to injury.

United are not due to return until late on Friday before their Premier League game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday, 17 February
