The Italian Olympic Committee has announced the suspension of all sporting events in Italy over the outbreak of coronavirus.

The Serie A and Champions League could be affected by the decision backed by the Italian government which ends on April 3.

Last Sunday, the Serie A game between Juventus and Inter Milan was played behind closed doors. This was done to prevent the spread of the virus which first broke out in China and has killed over 2000 people.

Juventus game against Lyon in the Champions League could also be affected. Inter Milan's Europa League game against Getafe has been officially announced as a game to be played behind closed doors.

Games in the Six Nations tournament have also been postponed. The games delayed are France vs Ireland and England vs Italy, while Wales Vs Scotland will go on.
