Spanish champions FC Barcelona have been dealt another massive injury blow ahead of their crucial Copa del Rey second-leg clash against Atletico Madrid.

Reports indicate that Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has sustained another injury and will not be available for the encounter.

The club, in a statement, announced that the 37-year-old injured his eye socket.

“Lewandowski got hurt in the game against Villarreal.

“Medical tests showed a fracture in his left eye socket.

“He won’t play against Atletico Madrid.”

The Catalan giants are looking to overturn a 4–0 deficit when they host Diego Simeone’s side at the Spotify Camp Nou on Tuesday, March 3.

Lewandowski’s injury comes just days after midfielder Frenkie de Jong suffered a muscle tear and was ruled out for at least six weeks.
