Conference League: Moffi gets POTW, GOTW nominations

Following his outstanding performance in the UEFA Europa Conference League, OGC Nice striker Terem Moffi has been nominated for the Player of the Week and Goal of the Week awards.

The 23-year-old was phenomenal for the Ligue 1 side who played a 2-2 draw with Swiss side Basel at St. Jacob Park on Thursday, April 13.

Moffi grabbed all two goals for the away team as Swiss forward Zeki Amdouni also netted both goals for the home side.

The Super Eagles striker's second goal was a goal-of-the-season contender as he pulled off a great skill to score a perfect bicycle kick just before the halftime break.

His performance has earned him a nomination for the player of the week alongside Basel’s Zeki Amdouni, Fiorentina defender, Nikola Milenković and KAA Gent’s.

Moffi's stunning strike has also been nominated for the Goal of the Week award.

The Nigerian international will face stiff competition from Majeed Ashimeru (Anderlecht), Hugo Cuypers (KAA Gent) Jonathan Ikone (Fiorentina) are the other players who have been nominated for the individual prize.
