Chukwueze reacts to Arsenal links

Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze has responded to rumours linking him with a move away from the La Liga side.

The 23-year-old is reportedly on the radar of the Premier League leaders as a backup option for Bukayo Saka.

Responding to the speculations, the Super Eagles winger denied the reports claiming that they are just rumours.

Chukwueze added that he is focused on Villarreal and has no intention to leave the club.

“For now, I’m just focused on Villarreal. Any rumour that you are listening to now, maybe in the future it will happen, but for now, I am a Villarreal player.”

Chukwueze has been impressive for the Yellow Submarines in March and his performance has earned him a nomination for the La Liga Player of the month award.

The Nigerian international has also managed 11 goals and 11 assists in 38 appearances for Quique Setien's side who are currently occupying the sixth position in La Liga.
