Chukwueze named in La Liga Team of the Week after dazzling display against Madrid

Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze has been named in the La Liga Team of the Week following his remarkable display against Real Madrid last weekend.

The 23-year-old scored a brace as the Yellow Submarines stunned the Spanish champions 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, April 8.

The Nigerian winger scored in the 39th minute to level the score for his side after Pau Torres' own goal had given Carlo Ancelotti's side the lead.

Chukwueze grabbed the winner in the 80th minute to secure all three points for Quique Setien's side.


With his double, the Super Eagles winger took his goal tally in La Liga this season to 6 goals.

He has also managed 13 goals across all competitions for Villarreal this term.
