Chelsea suffer transfer blow as Brighton reject third bid for Caicedo

Brighton have rejected Chelsea’s third bid for midfielder Moises Caicedo immediately.

The Seagulls had the Blues’ £80million bid for the Ecuadorian rejected on Thursday.

Chelsea want to sign the Ecuador international this summer, having allowed the likes of N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic leave Stamford Bridge .

The Blues have made it their mission to bring Caicedo to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Blues’ latest offer has come in at £80m.

But that was instantly knocked back as the Seagulls continued to hold out for £100m.

Chelsea’s previous bid was £70m.
