Chelsea will have to part ways with some key players in their current squad to afford themselves any chance of securing the signature of Napoli's Victor Osimhen in the summer.

The Blues have shown keen interest in the reigning African Footballer of the Year who inspired Napoli to their first Scudetto title last season after he bagged 26 goals in 31 appearances in the Serie A.

As per reports, Chelsea will breach the Financial Fair Play Rules if they sign the 25-year-old unless the club allows some players to leave in the summer.

The huge money-spending on stars like Moise Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez means Chelsea are inching closer to breaching the FFP rules.

Osimhen has a release clause of around the region of €130m following his recent contract extension with the Naples-based club.

The Blues face stiff competition from Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG who have all reportedly shown interest in the Super Eagles star.

Osimhen has scored 72 goals in 123 appearances across all competitions since joining the Serie A champions in 2020 as per Dailypost
