Chelsea keen on signing another Argentine World Cup winner after endorsement by Pochettino

Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing World Cup winner Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan in the summer following endorsement by Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino, who is set to be named the Blues permanent coach has begun his rebuilding agenda prior to his official appointment.

The former Spurs boss believes his countryman is one of the best strikers in the modern game, Football Insider reports.

Martinez has scored 23 goals and registered nine assists in 48 games across competitions for Inter this season.

He is the second top scorer in Serie A behind Victor Osimhen.

The 25-year-old was part of the Lionel Messi-led Argentina team that won the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in December.

Inter Milan as per reports will be asking for a fee around the region of £70 million.
