Chelsea face challenging decision over future of Stamford Bridge

The ownership of Chelsea Football Club is facing a difficult decision regarding the future of Stamford Bridge, their current stadium.

Sun reports that if they choose to redevelop it, they could face up to six years of playing at a temporary venue as the only option.

Former owner, Roman Abramovich had plans to redevelop the stadium, but it never materialized.

The current owners are also struggling to conclude whether to upgrade the stadium or build a new one.

The redevelopment of Stamford Bridge would require complete demolition and rebuilding while building a new stadium could cost up to £1.5bn.
