Chelsea begged me to return to the club - David Luiz

Arsenal defender, David Luiz has said that he was begged to return to his former club Chelsea days after he left.

David Luiz left Chelsea in the summer of last year to join London rivals Arsenal in an £8million deal.

The Brazilian has now admitted that he misses Chelsea where he won the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup.

Speaking to OTRO, David Luiz stated that he, however, has no regret over his decision to leave the club.

He said: “I had this connection with everyone at the club. It was so massive and big and I was missing every single one.

“Every text message I was receiving, people were saying: ‘Come back, come back, come back, come back, we are here for you.”
