Chelsea has officially welcomed their new Nigerian-born signing, Carney Chukwuemeka on their social media handles.

The 18-year-old joined The Blues from Aston Villa for a reported fee of £20m.

He joined Chelsea after declining a contract extension at Villa Park.

The highly rated attacking midfielder is eligible to play for the national teams of England, Nigeria, and Austria.

From the Nigerian perspective, he becomes the sixth player of Nigerian descent to sign for the club.
