Saturday night, June 10, afforded Manchester City a historic moment as the Premier League club conquered Europe for the first time.
Despite their incredible success in recent years, City had been unable to taste European glory.
While they came close to securing the Champions League in 2021, they went on to lose the crown to Premier League rivals Chelsea in the final.
In 2022, they could not go beyond the quarters as they were eliminated by eventual winners Real Madrid in the last eight.
However, luck was evidently on their side this season as they stunned Inter Milan in Istanbul to cart home the prestigious title.
According to The Independent, Rodri's solitary goal in the second half of the match was enough to earn City the much-coveted title.
Inside Man City's title celebration
The Daily Star reports City's Champions League triumph called for a moment of celebration from the players, with Jack Grealish leading the way.
Behind the scenes photos from the celebrations have since emerged after they were shared on social media by players.
Grealish, who led his teammates, friends and family to a nightclub, was caught on camera downing a few cans of booze.
On his part, Erling Haaland toasted his fine season with a cigar, with Kevin De Bruyne, who hobbled off with an injury in the first half, joining his teammates for celebration.
And when the merrymaking session was over, Guardiola's charges began to take photos with the Champions League trophy.
