CAF General Secretary, Amr Famy pass on

General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football, Amr Famy has today passed on, after a brief illness.
This announcement was made via the body's website, as they made public the shocking news.
It wished the family fortitude to bear the loss.
The body made a statement on its website which read:
"We would like to express our deepest condolences on the passing of former CAF General Secretary Amr Famy who passed away on Sunday, 23 February 2020, in Cairo, Egypt, after a short illness.
It is with a great deal of sadness and emotions that we received the shock news.
On behalf of CAF, we extend our deepest condolences to his family especially his parents, his spouse, and his daughter.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult moment, and may God have mercy on his soul."
