Bright Osayi Samuel: Fenerbache fans honour Nigeria defender with mural after show of bravery

Nigeria defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel, has been receiving love from fans of Fenerbahce for his display of bravery at the end of the game against Trabzonspor on Sunday, March 17.

The Super Eagles right-back confronted a Trabzonspor fan following the invasion of the pitch by supporters of the home side.

Osayi-Samuel stopped his attacker with a quick reaction, which led to a heroic moment, with fans immortalising the player with graffiti.

In photos shared on social media, Osayi-Samuel's photos have been drawn on walls in the Turkish capital in adoration for the ex-QPR star.

Several fans waited for the player at the end of the game to sing and chant his name for his bold showmanship.

The 26-year-old is expected to face disciplinary sanctions from the Turkish Football Federation despite acting in self-defence, as reported by Soccernet NG.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce kept the pressure on league leaders Galatasaray after a 3-2 win at Papara Park against Trabzonspor.

First-half goals from Fred gave the Yellow and Blue a two-goal lead before Enis Bardhi and Trezeguet levelled for the visitors.

Former Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi then stole a late winner for the Turkish giants.
