Boniface strikes again as Leverkusen cruise in German Cup

Bayern Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface was on target as his side beat Paderborn 3-1 in the German Cup.

The 22-year-old gave his side an early lead in the 12th minute before Argentine international Ezekiel Palacios doubled their advantage in the 28th minute.

The visitors pulled a goal back in the 83rd minute before substitute Patrik Schick restored the two-goal lead for Xabi Alonso's side.

Boniface has scored in his last three matches for the Bundesliga leaders.

The Super Eagles striker has now scored 14 goals in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen since joining the club from Belgian Pro League club Union SG in the summer.

Leverkusen have now sealed their place in the quarterfinals of the DFB-Pokal.
