'Better than Ronaldo' – Nigerians laud Osimhen, Lookman for leading Serie A goal king race

Following their historic win for their respective clubs the past weekend, fans have taken to social media to commend Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman for their outstanding performance.

Osimhen's double against Juventus

Osimhen guided Napoli to an astonishing 5-1 victory over Juventus at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Friday, January 13 to send a strong signal to the remaining title contenders.

Osimhen hit a brace to help the Naples-based side move 9 points clear at the top of Serie A.

The Nigerian international also moved his Serie A goal tally to 12 goals, 3 more than his Super Eagles compatriot Lookman, Inter's Martinez and Spezia's Nzola.

The 24-year-old is in the form of his life for Luciano Spalletti's side who are on course to winning their first Scudetto since 1990.

Lookman's brace against Salernitana

Ademola Lookman was the tormentor in chief as Atalanta walloped Salernitana 8-2 in the Serie A on Sunday, January 15.

The Super Eagles winger scored twice and assisted another as Gian Piero Gasperini's side recorded a historic win at the Gewiss Stadium.

Lookman moved his goal tally from 7 to 9, only his fellow countryman, Osimhen has scored more (12).

The ex-Leicester City man has so far managed 9 goals and 3 assists in Serie A since joining the I Nerazzurri last summer.
