Defending La Liga Champions, Barcelona, survived a scare from Real Betis on Sunday night after securing a 3-2 win away from home to keep pressure on league leaders, Real Madrid.

Barca were six points behind after Madrid's 4-1 comeback against Osasuna and things worsened for Quique Setien's men when they fell behind 1-0 courtesy Sergio Canales' sixth-minute penalty but Frenkie de Jong levelled three minutes later.

The Blaugranas secured their comeback when Lenglet headed in Lionel Messi's 73rd-minute free-kick.

Both teams were reduced to 10 men when Batis' Nabil Fekir received two yellow cards in quick succession and Lenglet, who scored Barca's third was sent off as well.

Barcelona are now three points behind Real Madrid, who they will face in La Liga in three weeks time.
