Humorous reactions have trailed Frank Lampard's return as caretaker coach for Chelsea Football Club.

Chelsea confirmed the appointment of Frank Lampard as interim manager until the end of the 2022/2023 season on Thursday, April 6 following the sacking of Graham Potter on Sunday.

Lampard, 44, returns to the Stamford Bridge dugout for his second spell after he was dismissed by the club in January 2021.

In a joint statement released by the club owners, Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, Lampard was hired to be in charge of the team in the short term because of his club legend status and a Premier League Hall of Famer.

Lampard's return to The Blues has triggered varied and interesting opinions from some fans.
