Balotelli weighs in on who is a better finisher between Osimhen, Martinez

Former Italian international Mario Balotelli has offered some insights into the strengths of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Inter's Lautaro Martinez.

The two strikers have been the best performers for their clubs in the Serie A for the past few seasons.

Osimhen beat the Argentine to the Capocannoniere Award last season after notching 26 goals to help Napoli secure its first Scudetto title in 33 years.

However, the tables have turned this season, as the World Cup winner finds himself in pole position to win both the league and the top scorer award.

Martinez, 26, has netted 23 goals for the league leaders this season.

Osimhen, whose season has been marred by injuries is currently on 11 goals with just 8 league matches left to play.

Speaking on the unique abilities of the top Serie A forwards, Balotelli acknowledged that Lautaro Martinez is ahead of Osimhen in front of goal.

“I say Lautaro in front of Osimhen and Leao,” he said, as quoted by Tutto Napoli.
