Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, shared a heartwarming moment during the CAF Awards in Morocco as compatriot Victor Osimhen was named Men's Player of the Year.
The Barcelona Femini striker retained her crown as queen of African football after winning the award for a sixth time.
Moments after she received the Women's Player of the Year award, Osimhen was called onto the podium by CAF president Patrice Motsepe as the winner of the Men's Player of the Year.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Oshoala is seen chanting the Napoli forward's name as he received the award for the first time.
"Come on Victor. That's my boy," he screamed in excitement during the ceremony.
Osimhen became the fifth Nigerian to win the prestigious award following the footsteps of legends Rashidi Yekini, Emmanuel Amuneke, Victor Ikpeba and Nwankwo Kanu.

"First of all, I want to say thank you God for everything. Special thanks to Emmanuel Amuneke without him, I don't think I would be standing in front of you guys, holding one of the most prestigious awards in world football. It's a dream come true for me," said the Super Falcons attacker during his acceptance speech.
The 24-year-old beat off competition from Mohamed Salah and Achraf Hakimi to win the award. Osimhen led Napoli to their first title in 33 years last season.
