Andre Onana set to make national team U-turn after World Cup expulsion

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is set to make his return to the Indomitable Lions after announcing his retirement following his sacking from the national team during the World Cup.

The 27-year-old shot-stopper announced his return in a statement on Monday, September 4.

Onana is expected to feature in Cameroon's last AFCON qualifier against Burundi next week.

The ex-Ajax man was sacked from the team following his confrontation with the Rigobert Song.

After their World Cup opener against Switzerland, Onana was dropped for the remaining two matches against Serbia and Brazil.
