Anderson Talisca ensured Al-Nassr did not feel the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo in their AFC Champions League Group E encounter with Al-Duhail on Tuesday night (November 7).

The Brazilian forward, who has been enjoying an impressive run of form after returning from injury, netted two goals to orchestrate a first-half comeback against the Qatari champions.

Talisca's compatriot and former Barcelona star, Philippe Coutinho initially opened the scoring for Al Duhail, tapping in from close range after a setup from Kenyan striker, Michael Olunga.

However, the Knights of Najd relied on the Brazilian to turn the tide and he rose to the occasion admirably.

For his first goal, the former Besiktas player received a pass from Abdulrahman Ghareeb, executed a swift turn, and unleashed an unstoppable right-footed strike into the net.

Talisca nets Roberto Carlos-esque golazo

As if that wasn't enough, the 29-year-old took a page from Roberto Carlos' playbook, unleashing a powerful left-footed shot that flew past the helpless goalkeeper, Salah Zakaria.

Talisca's goal was reminiscent of his compatriot's legendary free kick against France in 1997, which defied the laws of physics.

As reported by SportBIBLE, Carlos' strike - clocked at 136.7kph - appeared to be heading wide but remarkably bent back towards the post, leaving spectators in awe.

Talisca contributed a crucial third goal to his personal tally as the Riyadh-based giants held off a late resurgence by Al Duhail, spurred on by Coutinho, to clinch a thrilling 3-2 victory away from home, as noted by GOAL.
