All the 9 Chelsea players currently injured as Mudryk joins list

Mykhailo Mudryk has joined the growing list of Chelsea stars currently sidelined just two games into the new season.

The Blues confirmed on Thursday that the winger will be unavailable ahead of their Premier League clash against Luton Town scheduled for Friday night.

In a statement shared by the club ahead of the fixture, Chelsea disclosed that Mudryk will play no role in the tie as he is starting rehabilitation, having undergone assessments on an injury sustained in training this week.

The Ukrainian had featured in two of the club's opening fixtures of the new campaign against Liverpool and West Ham United.

The youngster came on as a substitute as the west Londoners went on to suffer a 3-1 humiliating defeat against the Hammers.

According to The Sun, it is not known what injury Mudryk has suffered or how long he will be out for.

Who is on Chelsea injury list?

Mudryk's injury brought Chelsea's number of injured players to nine, with several others currently on the treatment table.

Captain Reece James and Christopher Nkunku headline the long list of the sideline players.

James recently picked up a hamstring injury, which will keep him on the sidelines for a few weeks.

Nkunku, meanwhile, will have to wait until Christmas before he can return to action as he has a knee issue.

Benoit Badiashile, Marcus Bettinelli, Armando Broja, and Trevoh Chalobah are also out of action with different injuries.

Others include Wesley Fofana and Carney Chukwuemeka, who netted the Blues' goal against West Ham.
