Africa is home for us all – Rüdiger says on visit to Ghana

Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger is currently in Ghana for the summer holidays.

The former Chelsea defender is having a good time and he believes Africa is home for all.

"First of all, it's not my first time being in Ghana, and for me, I feel at home. Though I am a Sierra Leonean but I think Africa is for us all, so I am grateful to be here," Rüdiger told Kickgh.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming season, the German international disclosed that Real Madrid wants to win the UCL again.

"The expectation is always high. I have high expectations of myself and my teammates. We want to win the Champions League again. When you're at Real Madrid that is the aim and target. We want to win everything that is there."

Rudiger managed 2 goals and 2 assists in 53 appearances for Real Madrid last season.

Carlo Ancelotti's men only managed to win the Copa del Rey as they missed out on the La Liga title to rivals Barcelona and were thrashed 5-1 on aggregate in the semifinal by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
