Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has changed his shirt number at Atletico Madrid ahead of the upcoming season.

The 28-year-old has switched from shirt number 22 to No. 11 as the 2026/27 season beckons.

The No. 11 shirt was previously worn by Argentine international Thiago Almada, who has left the Rojiblancos to join River Plate.

The former African Footballer of the Year wore the No. 11 shirt at his former club Atalanta.

The Nigerian international joined Atleti in the January transfer window and has since been in impressive form for Diego Simeone's side.

The former RB Leipzig man registered nine goals and four assists in 24 appearances across all competitions for the club since joining them in the second half of last season.
