Ademola Lookman: Atalanta forward names the European league that suits his style of play

At 26, Ademola Lookman has already had a taste of three of the five major European leagues.

The Super Eagles winger has featured in the Premier League, the German Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A.

He began his senior career in the Premier League with Everton before joining RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga.

He later returned to the Premier League on a one-year loan spell with Leicester City before securing a permanent move to Atalanta in the Serie A.

Lookman has been a key figure for La Dea since joining the club in the summer of 2022.

As per Completesports, the Nigerian international believes the Premier League is best suited for his style of play than the other leagues he has featured in.

“The Premier League is definitely suited to my style because it’s fast, technical, physical — and it’s the country I grew up in.

“But learning about the culture of football in Italy is really special. The build-up to the games, the atmosphere in the stadium, and the love that the fans have for football. It’s very special.”

Lookman was in action when Atalanta stunned Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield in the Europa League last week.

The Italian side will welcome the Reds to the Gewiis Stadium on Thursday, April 18 for the return encounter.
