Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi is expected to captain Nigeria when they take on Guinea-Bissau in their second game of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers later today (Tuesday, September 29).

According to widespread reports, head coach Eric Chelle is expected to make three changes to the team that started the last game against Madagascar on Friday, September 25.

One of these changes is skipper Wilfred Ndidi, who is expected to start the game from the bench. Frank Onyeka is expected to replace Ndidi in the starting lineup.

With Victor Osimhen already ruled out of the qualifiers through injury, Alex Iwobi is the man in line to take up the leadership role on the field in Ndidi's absence.

The former Everton midfielder will be making his 102nd appearance for Nigeria, more than any other player in the current squad.

Paris FC's Moses Simon follows closely with 100 caps, a feat he achieved in the last game against Madagascar.

The match will kick off at 5:00pm Nigerian time at the September 24 Stadium in Bissau.
