AFCON Qualifiers: Guinea-Bissau stuns Super Eagles 1-0

The Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau have stunned the Super Eagles of Nigeria by a lone goal at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Despite the array of talents on display, Jose Peseiro's side couldn't find their way past the Guinea-Bissau defence.

The visitors scored the only goal on the half-hour mark courtesy of Mama Balde who benefited from a through pass to nutmeg Francis Uzoho.

Despite the constant threat from the Super Eagles near the opponent's penalty area, Nigeria couldn't find the cutting edge.

The defeat means that the Djurtus have toppled the Super Eagles at the top of Group A with 7 points.

The Super Eagles will have a chance to redeem themselves when they take on the Djurtus in the return fixture on Monday, March 27.
