Super Eagles coach, Augustine Eguavoen has described the game against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic as a "tough game".
The caretaker coach made this known following his team's 1-1 draw against Benin on Thursday, November 14.
Eguavoen’s side came from behind to earn a point against their rivals in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying encounter in Abidjan on Thursday night.
Mohammed Tijani gave the Cheetahs the lead after 16 minutes.
Victor Osimhen however rescued a point for Nigeria eight minutes from time.
“It was a tough game and I congratulate the players for a spirited display in the second half that earned us the equaliser,” Eguavoen thenff.com.
“The downpour made the game difficult for both teams, but I am happy we have the AFCON finals ticket in the bag ahead of the final game of the series against Rwanda in Uyo on Monday.”
