Uganda head coach, Paul Put is expecting a difficult duel against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, DAILY POST reports.
The Cranes are still searching for their first win at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after two games.
The East Africans started their campaign with a 3-1 defeat to the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, and held the Taifa Stars of Tanzania to a 1-1 draw in their second game.
Uganda must now beat Nigeria to have any chance of earning a berth in the Round of 16.
The Super Eagles have already qualified for the knockout round after edging past Tanzania, and Tunisia in their opening two games.
Head coach Éric Chelle is expected to ring the changes for the game, giving opportunities to some of his fringe players.
Put know things won’t be easy for his side against the Super Eagles.
“I told the players we must keep believing and fight until the last game. We are disappointed, but we have to reset and prepare for Nigeria. It won’t be easy,” Put said ahead of the game.
