Former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi has said Nigeria has the best strike force going into the African Cup of Nations in Cote D'Ivore.

He made this known when he appeared as a guest on the Obi One podcast over the weekend.

According to him, the Super Eagles are always the favorites to win the competition despite playing badly during the qualifiers.

"We do have a chance, we are always favorites when it comes to this tournament and I have said it a few times now. We might not play well during the qualifying series but when the tournament starts, we are always favorites," Mikel Obi said.

"We know how to win this tournament and I think that this is what this young team should take with them going into the tournament."

"I think when you look at this team, we have the best strike force ever."

The Super Eagles can boast of some of the most fearful strikers on the continent with Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Victor Boniface, Umar Sadiq, Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon all playing huge roles in their club side.
